Get EMDR
A calm, simple tool for EMDR-style bilateral stimulation, designed primarily for resourcing and self‑regulation between therapy sessions.
Get EMDR is not a substitute for therapy and is not intended for unguided trauma processing. See: Safety & Disclaimer.
What this app is for
Section titled “What this app is for”Get EMDR is built around a very specific (and safer) goal:
Strengthen positive internal resources — calm, safety, comfort, wisdom, confidence — using gentle left‑right movement (and optional alternating audio).
Resourcing is often used to help people feel more grounded and stable, especially between sessions of trauma-focused therapy.
Resourcing, in plain language
Section titled “Resourcing, in plain language”Resourcing means:
- choosing a positive target feeling (e.g., Calm, Safety, Wisdom)
- choosing a source for that feeling (a person, place, memory, character, time period, or a part of yourself)
- letting that feeling become more available in your body while you follow the bilateral movement
In Get EMDR, resourcing is guided — but always optional and intentionally light.
